But today it was revealed that Ashley Cole's new girlfriend is actress Annie Cooper, who is about to join the cast of Hollyoaks.
Annie, 27, was snapped in the back of a car with the Chelsea footballer's publicist Jade Reuben, who tried to block the cameras taking her picture with her hand.
And according to the Sun, it's no wonder Reuben was desperate to keep Annie hidden, as Cole has been trying to keep his relationship with the actress a secret.
The paper said the England star arranged a separate car to transport her between London clubs Whisky Mist and Jet Black and back to his mansion last Sunday night.
A source told the paper: 'Ashley was enjoying being single but was taken by Annie after a friend introduced them.
'He didn't want it all coming out as it's early days. He wanted to be confident Annie could handle the attention.'

... and before long, Costello is drawn to her womanly charms, testing his engagement to Mercedes McQueen, played by Jennifer MetcalfeAnnie said: 'I am delighted to be joining the glamorous cast of Hollyoaks as naughty minx Alex. She's really going to test Riley and Mercedes' relationship and it's exciting to see how it all turns out.'
Last Sunday she joined Cole and his Chelsea team mates in London bar Whisky Mist, as they celebrated their 2-0 win over Manchester City.
The source added: 'They were on a table with Ashley's pals when he suggested playing the ice cube game.
'This involved passing the ice-cube, boy to girl, using their mouths. The lads then got carried away by putting the ice down the girls' tops.'
